Challenge

Table-Art is my own project: an online store selling handmade Italian porcelain and tableware.   It had to serve two very different buyers well. Restaurants and hotels need a tailored quote, while private customers simply want to choose a product and add it to the cart.

Solution

  • Porcelain in the leading role. The minimalist design doesn’t compete with the product, and clean catalogues make a large range easy to browse.
  • Two ways to buy. Private customers can pay for their order straight away, while business clients can send an enquiry and receive a tailored quote.
  • All done by hand. I built the online store with WordPress, WooCommerce and Elementor, set up payments and delivery, added the products and wrote the copy.
  • Consistent SEO. I keep improving the technical SEO, structured data and the category and product copy.
  • More than a website. The store is supported by email campaigns and GA4 conversion tracking.

Result

The online store has been running since 2018 and is constantly being improved. The steady SEO work has paid off: for several years Table-Art has ranked first on Google for “Sumisura porcelain”, above the manufacturer itself.
